Therapy Approach
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS Institute), EMDR (Trauma Specialists Training Institute), and Motivational Interviewing (MI Training Center) therapies.

By integrating these approaches, I aim to establish a therapy space that is curious, compassionate, and evidence based.
Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with their own thoughts, emotions, & roles. Our parts can often be categorized as protective parts, reactive parts, and/or wounded parts. Central to IFS is the concept of SELF: a core state of compassion, curiosity, and connectedness. IFS therapy aims to connect with Self, heal burdened parts, and harmonize our internal family system.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy modality designed to help people process and heal from distressing life experiences. It involves the client recalling traumatic memories while engaging in visual, tactile, and/or audio bilateral stimulation. This evidence-based practice is proven to reduce the emotional intensity of the memory and help the brain reprocess it more adaptively.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is an approach designed to help people explore and resolve ambivalence about making changes in their lives. It emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and eliciting an individual's own motivations & strengths to encourage change. MI uses open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations to guide individuals toward setting and achieving their goals.
